Due to the impacts of Covid-19 Isuzu Utes NZ will be extending warranties and service intervals:
Isuzu New Vehicle Warranty:
The Isuzu new vehicle warranty period for Isuzu D-Max and MU-X vehicles still within their warranty period, will be extended by an additional month.
IUNZ will provide you with an extended warranty period of 1 Month (mileage limitations will still apply) on your D-max or MU-X first registered new in New Zealand on or after 1st March 2017. This extended warranty will take effect on the expiry of your Isuzu New vehicle warranty and covers repairs to correct any malfunction occurring during the extended warranty period resulting from defects in material or workmanship of the vehicle. This is in addition to the standard three year warranty period for the whole vehicle and all warranty terms and conditions as detailed in your service and warranty booklet, still apply. Including exclusions such as the use of wrong or contaminated fuels or unauthorised modifications.
Isuzu vehicles due for a service during the lock down period will have an extension on the service interval for an extra month after the lock down period ends, this means that a delayed service during the lock down period will not affect your warranty.
The Isuzu recommended service schedule is mileage or time based, whichever occurs first. For the recommended service schedule for your vehicle, please refer to the Service and Warranty Booklet/Owner's and Drivers Manual supplied with the vehicle. Servicing should be performed on your initiative by an Authorised Isuzu Dealership or an Authorised Isuzu Parts and Service Agent within ± 2,000Kms or 2 months of the scheduled service (normally ± 1,000Kms or 1 month). This extension will expire 31 May 2020.
TIPS ON STORING YOUR ISUZU DURING COVID-19 LOCK DOWN:
As a result of the current COVID-19 restrictions, your Isuzu vehicle may have seen a reduction in use.
Here are a few handy pointers to ensure when the restrictions are lifted, your vehicle performs as normal and maintains its appearance:
There was a buzz of excitement instore at Bowater Isuzu recently when this 2019 Isuzu Mu-X got the last bit of enhancement fitted. This tough 7 seater has had the full treatment, and been treated to all sorts of extra's, like nudge bars and new rims.
Maximise your lifestyle & Create happy campers!
Getting away from it all takes a special kind vehicle. A vehicle capable of many things. A vehicle that can be a comprehensive tow vehicle one moment, an off road explorer the next, and still be comfortable enough for a quick trip into town to pick up supplies.
The beauty of living in the South Island is that there are still many places far off the beaten track. These places, for those in the know, are well worth the hardship of getting to them. These days though, vehicles like the Isuzu D-Max and Isuzu MuX mean that the trip is a whole lot more comfortable, and safer, than it ever used to be, even towing a massive caravan!
We recently caught up with new Isuzu customer Richard Holland out at Rabbit Island with his new Isuzu D-Max and very large, and very nice home away from home - a twin axle 2 tonne Southern Star Caravan.
We stopped in on our way back from picking up Bowater Isuzu salesman James' horse and horse float in the new Isuzu 7 seater SUV, the Isuzu MuX.
The timing was perfect for an old fashioned rest area stopover, a good old cup of tea and biscuits kind of affair. The kind of stop we all used to have back when car trips were quite the adventure, and required a stop for a cup of tea every couple of hours!
The good folks at Isuzu have just released a brand new colour to the D-Max choices - Venetian Red! It is stunning, and will be a real head turner for sure!
The best way to experience this is not of course through a screen, but in real, actual life, so head down to Bowater Isuzu on the corner of Rutherford and Hardy to talk to the team and they will sort you out.
