Successful opening night for Bowater Honda comes with a nice surprise.
A beautiful night and a stunning new showroom brought the crowds to our opening event.
Thursday the 27th February 2014 was a very significant evening for Bowater Honda. It was on this wondefully fine night we held the opening event for the newly refurbished showroom on Achilles Ave that we are so very proud of.

What surprised and delighted us was the amazing turnout by locals to attend this event. In all between 225 - 250 people came along to show their support, enjoy our hospitality and get a wee surprise themselves. We were very lucky have Murray Selby along, he is the Executive General Manager of Honda New Zealand and he bought with him a very special treat. Bowater Honda was the first Honda showroom in New Zealand to unveil the fantastic new assessment vehicle, the Honda N One - a jazzy wee urban car that is both very fuel efficient and also very very stylish, roomy and technologically advanced.
We were a little surprised ourselves by the almost overwhelming numbers of locals that turned up to show their support for our newly relocated showroom. The line stretched right out the door and snaked along the footpath at one stage! Apologies to any that had to wait in the late afternoon sun a little too long.
The Art is on the walls at the new showroom in Achilles Ave

The finishing touches are going onto the new Bowater Honda showroom in the Wakatu Carpark as the 82 Achilles Ave site is just a day away from the staff moving in. A big step in the setting of the atmosphere of the new showroom was the installation of a gigantic panelled photographic art piece that was created by The Big Picture and printed by our friends at The Signman.

It was all go last night as the lights got switched on for the first time and we took our first official photos of the new Achilles Avenue Bowater Honda showroom.
It was a beautiful evening with the threat of a few showers, but that didn't stop us as we were too excited to move some cars in and switch on the lights.
The aim was to get a photo that we could use in our coming promotions and to start letting the good people of Nelson and Tasman know that we are officially on the move now that the lights are going to be on.
The new showroom looks absolutely stunning, and the new lighting system is going to do an excellent job of shining a light on the great range of vehicles the we are selling through the dealership. The official move in date is Monday 6th January 2014 - come on down and take a look for yourself.
The Honda signs come down in Rutherford Street.
The Honda signs have come down to go back up shortly just down the road.
This week some big changes in the Bowater Motor Group have become quite obvious, and no longer are just something being quietly planned and discussed within the group. Now it is all right out there as the Bowater Honda signs have come down from the building on one of Nelson's busiest intersections - Rutherford and Hardy Streets.
This is probably causing a few questions around town and quiet murmerings as to what is going on. The long and the short of it is that Bowater Honda is moving in the New Year to a more centrally located building in Achilles Ave that is being rennovated as we speak to create a stunning new showroom.
The team from The Little Pig Building Company have done a wonderful job on converting one of the groups new vehicle preparation buildings into a purpose designed new Honda showroom.
The decision to move Bowater Honda up the road to the new location in the entrance to the Wakatu Carpark is all part of a bigger plan which will ultimately see the Bowater Motor Group add another string or two to it's bow.
